Straight answers

The things people ask first.

Is it free?Yes, and there's nothing to buy inside it. It's paid for by ads from Google AdMob: small banners, and now and then a full-screen ad between picks.
Do I have to share my location?No. Share it and you get places around you right now; skip it and type an address or pick a spot on the map. Everything works either way.
Is there an iPhone version?Not yet. Android only for now — the app is built with Expo, so iOS is possible later, but nothing is promised.
How is this different from a maps search?A maps search hands you a ranked list and leaves the deciding to you. This makes the decision and shows you one place. That's the entire difference, and it's the point.
Where do the restaurants come from?Google Places, the same source behind Maps — so hours, ratings and prices are the real ones, not a small curated list.
What if nothing's open?It tells you. Ask for pizza at 7 a.m. and it says nothing's open for pizza near you, rather than quietly handing you something else.
Does it give directions?Yes — turn-by-turn navigation with voice, inside the app. If you'd rather use Google Maps, that's one tap away too.
Do I need an account?There isn't one. No sign-up, no email, no password to forget. Open it and it works. What it collects.
Your data

We keep nothing.

No account, no sign-up, no email address to hand over. Your saved spots sit on your phone — deleting the app deletes them, because we never had a copy.

Location is used while the app is open to find places near you. It passes through our server on its way to Google and is never stored or logged. Rather not share it? Type an address or pick a spot on the map; everything still works.
